Introducing CrossEights Daily

We're excited to share a new addition to the CrossEights family: CrossEights Daily, a once-per-day version of the puzzle now available at crosseightsdaily.com.

Since launching CrossEights, the core experience at crosseights.com has focused on unlimited puzzles and rival competition. Players can solve as many puzzles as they like and compete across multiple leaderboard dimensions, including solve time and efficiency. That format will continue unchanged.

CrossEights Daily introduces a different style of play. Instead of unlimited puzzles, one new puzzle is released each day. Every player receives the exact same grid, creating a shared daily challenge across the entire community. Once you've solved the puzzle, the next one arrives the following day.

This format allows players to compare results on an even playing field and brings a different rhythm to the game—one focused on a single puzzle and a single attempt each day.

The core mechanics remain the same. Players still fill the crossword-style grid with intersecting eight-letter words, balancing vocabulary knowledge with strategic decision-making about how each placement affects the remaining possibilities.

Some players enjoy the open-ended competition and experimentation of the main game. Others prefer the structure and routine of a daily puzzle. With the launch of CrossEights Daily, both styles are now available.

As always, we appreciate the feedback and ideas the community has shared while CrossEights has evolved. If you try the daily puzzle, we'd love to hear what you think.
